After consideration of the success (the lack of) of the implementation of Google Adsense I have decided to remove AdSense units from all locations with the exception of the sidebar. If you have been using these links in the past, please continue to do so.

I decided to have another shot at those water hen chicks this afternoon, I didn’t do too well with them, but I did manage to get some great shots of ducks, geese and even a pelican. All the photos were taken with my D300 using my Tamron 70-300mm lens, once again this lens proves to be capable of producing good results.

If you like animal pictures, then have a look at my Animals and Animal Portrait galleries as well.

Although my system of choice is Nikon, to people that know me I am pretty much a cross platform junkie; I will play with anything that I can get my hands on whether it be Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax and now even Sony. Just give me a camera and a lens and I’ll happily play with it.
At the present moment I have in my possession a Sony Alpha A350 courtesy of a close friend. I have used this camera at Sony events in the past but have never really been able to put it through its paces so I am relishing the opportunity to really test this camera that has proven fairly popular…..more
This is the first of my collection thoughts and reviews, stay tuned for more reviews.

Nikon introduced this feature with their ground breaking D300 back in August 2007 and has been used in all their new DSLRs since. What is it? Does it work? How is it different from D-Lighting?….more
